A native Sudburian, Merissa Scarlett moved to Regina in January 2011 to begin her career with the Saskatchewan Science Centre. Her first role at the Science Centre was in the Outreach department, where she brought the excitement of science to kids (and adults!) across the entire province. Since then, she has progressed to being the Senior Programs Coordinator, where she supervises the Outreach program, is the programming lead on Adult Science Nights, and involved in planning Ignite!, the Science Centre’s showcase of innovation and big ideas.

Merissa joined the Board of Directors of MAS as she wants to learn more about how a non-profit board works. She also wants to deepen her collaboration skills, while working for a cause she is passionate about.

She is a learner, always doing new things to push her out of her comfort zone. Currently, she is learning golf, as well as knitting. She enjoys gardening and camping, as well as going to the gym.
