QUANTUM: The Exhibition - until June 11
- Sunday, June 11th 2017 – Sunday, June 11th 2017
- Western Development Museum, 2610 Lorne Avenue, Saskatoon, SK
"This exhibition is the first in a series of exciting events that we are bringing to the province as part of Innovation150, a nationwide celebration of Canada's innovative past, present, and future. " explains Sandy Baumgartner, CEO of the Saskatchewan Science Centre. "Being able to bring this exhibition to Saskatchewan, and having it hosted in Saskatoon, is a big part of providing accessible opportunities for the people of Saskatchewan."
A technological revolution is underway thanks to our collective increased control over the world of atoms and molecules - the quantum world. QUANTUM: The Exhibition is an interactive exploration of the core concepts of quantum mechanics and how they are being harnessed to develop the technologies that will define the 21st century. These transformative technologies stand to impact computing, information security, cancer detection, and more.
"I am very excited to be able to share QUANTUM: The Exhibition with our patrons," said Jason B. Wall, Manager, Western Development Museum - Saskatoon. "This is a wonderful interactive opportunity for everyone to learn more about quantum physics and the fascinating work being done by Canadian researchers in this field."
Produced by the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC) at the University of Waterloo, this ground-breaking exhibition is part of Innovation150, a Signature Initiative of the Government of Canada's sesquicentennial celebration, which celebrates 150 years of Canadian Innovation.
QUANTUM: The Exhibition will be at the WDM - Saskatoon until June 11, 2017. More Innovation150 activities will be announced later in March.
