Marketing/Program Development Assistant

The team at the Biggar Museum & Gallery is looking for a student to develop programs and exhibits that will draw all age groups to the museum. We are also looking for marketing ideas to bring more people to the museum, art gallery and gift shop. Can you do this, plus take part in the day to day running of a very active cultural centre in our community? 

The successful applicant will be enthusiastic and creative, will reside in Biggar, or can commute. Will be a self-starter, friendly with all of the community’s age groups; aware of the importance of history and museums in society, process computer skills, and Grade 12 education, post-secondary education will be considered an asset. Must be a student now and plan on continuing with their studies in the fall. 

Position starts June 5, 2017 and runs for 13 weeks until September 1, 2017. Work week will be Tuesday – Saturday, 35 hours a week, pays more than minimum wage.
