Summer Visitor Services Position - Summer Student 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: 

The Summer Visitor Services is responsible for assisting in the operation of the Gift Shop and Visitor Services. 

DUTIES: 

• Greet and direct museum guests 
• Process admissions and Gift Shop sales 
• Opening/Closing duties 
• Light cleaning in the Gift Shop and Visitors Services area 
• Answer telephone and respond to customer inquiries in a courteous and professional manner 
• Assist with programs and special events when needed 
• Other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

• Previous retail and cashier experience an asset but not necessary 
• Be self-motivated and able to work independently; willing to work weekends; have superb organizational skills; and have excellent written and oral communication skills 
• Knowledge of the Western Development Museum - Moose Jaw and surrounding area would be an asset 

CONDITIONS: Salary $12.50 per hour 

30 hours per week including weekends 

Start Date: 10 weeks from June 18 to August 26, 2017 

*As per the requirements of the Canada Summer Job’s grant, all applicants must have been registered as a full time student during the preceding academic year and must intend to return to school on a full-time basis during the next academic year.
