‘Business as usual’ for Remai Modern staff, new chair says

After one year on the Remai Modern art gallery board, lawyer Beau Atkins has been named the new chair on an interim basis. The 36-year-old Calgary native and University of Saskatchewan law school graduate will help steer the gallery through a period of turbulence. Half the board departed last month with some suggesting meddling by city hall had become a problem. Mayor Charlie Clark insists the city only became involved to address workplace issues.
