On May 15, the Prime Minister announced the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program. It is intended to support the renovation, expansion, and rehabilitation of existing infrastructure that offers cultural and community benefits for Canadians in honour of Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation. The program is anticipated to fund up to 1,800 projects and will be delivered through regional development agencies. Projects may include community centres, cultural centres and museums, parks, recreational trails, libraries, recreational facilities, tourism facilities, docks, cenotaphs and other community infrastructure.
