Have you seen this sampler?

The Manitoba Crafts Museum and Library is currently trying to track down a series of samplers included in a 1945 travelling needlecraft exhibition organized by the Manitoba branch of the Handicrafts Guild. Samplers were created by the Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, Quebec, Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and Yukon branches of the Guild and featured images and symbols associated with each province. The sampler pictured here is the Saskatchewan Sampler. The exhibition started out in Winnipeg in February of 1945 and then travelled to Montreal in March. After this the trail goes cold.

They have the Manitoba Sampler in our collection, but would love to know the current whereabouts of these samplers. If you have any information please contact them at mcmlprograms@gmail.com or 204-615-3951!
