2018 Conference Opening Reception, Humboldt

Farewell to an Old Friend, Hello to Two New Ones

Posted in News & Events by Wendy Fitch on June 11th, 2015

The Mendel Art Gallery closed the doors for the last time June 7th after more than 50 years at the Spadina Avenue location.  Many people will have fond memories of visits to the Mendel over the years viewing and learning about art and artists.

While we say good-bye to our old friend we look forward to welcoming a new one when the Remai Modern opens in 2016 in River Landing on the south side of downtown Saskatoon. News and updates on the Remai Modern can be found at www.remaimodern.org.

The building is going to continue to be a community hub because it is to become the new home for the Children’s Discovery Museum. The Conservatory will remain and will continue to be open to the public to enjoy. For news and updates on the Children’s Discovery Museum visit www.museumforkids.sk.ca.
