Have an idea for a Community Chat?

MAS is currently seeking proposals for our 2022-23 Community Chat Webinar Series. Community Chats are short, informal learning opportunities where peers have the chance to share and connect with the Saskatchewan museum community. Community Chats are held on a bi-weekly basis and are generally around 45 minutes, with about 15 minutes at the end reserved for questions, although this can be flexible. If your proposed session is longer, it could be held over several sessions or be longer; we can discuss and modify it to suit your specific needs.

Suggested areas of focus include (but are not limited to):

-       Creating virtual museum tours

-       Digitization of collections

-       Virtual exhibition development

-       Fundraising

-       Collections care

-       Time management/work-life balance

-       Engaging audiences through social media/developing an online presence

-       Indigenous protocols & cultural competency

-       Sharing successful initiatives from your museum or organization that may be beneficial to others to learn from

MAS also strives to develop programs representing the organizational size and geographic location of our members and involving emerging professionals to ensure perspectives from all stages of career development are reflected.

Submit your proposal online using our submission form.

The submission form will be available on an ongoing basis, with a submission deadline ahead of each programming season:
