MAS Community Chat: Basics of CARFAC Saskatchewan with Wendy Nelson

The Canadian Artists Representation/Le Front des Artistes Canadiens (CARFAC) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting visual artists. Awareness of CARFAC and its work in supporting artists is crucial for museums throughout Saskatchewan that have exhibitions (whether permanent or temporary, physical or digital) or host talks and lectures as part of public programming. Wherever and however art is used by museums CARFAC should be something museums take into consideration. This session will introduce some of the resources and information available for those wanting to work with artists, such as the Industry Best Practice Documents, Contract Templates and the CARFAC-RAAV Minimum Recommended Fee Schedule and the new Indigenous Protocols for the Visual Arts.
