Finding permanent Remai Modern CEO expected to take a year

It’s expected to take as long as a year to find a permanent executive director and chief executive officer (CEO) for the Remai Modern art gallery.

Beau Atkins, the interim chair of the gallery’s board, said in an emailed response that a search for a new CEO usually takes as long as a year.

The board is searching for a replacement for Gregory Burke, who departed in March after six years of steering Saskatoon’s public gallery. Burke navigated the closure of the Mendel Art Gallery and the opening of Remai Modern in October of 2017. Read more...
