Heritage committee to examine new plans for Saskatoon’s Civic Conservatory

A report going to Saskatoon's Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee is shedding some light on what the planned Civic Conservatory in the former Mendel Art Gallery building could eventually look like. The conservatory building has been closed to the public since 2017 after the gallery closed and moved to it's new home at River Landing. The city says the conservatory, which was a large scale, year round greenhouse, needs significant repair before it reopens. While a final decision would have to be made by city council, the heritage committee is being asked to weigh in on the project in its early stages. Read more...
