Technology Microgrant for Community Museums

Grant Guidelines

This program provides grants of up to $1000.00 is available to Saskatchewan community museums to to acquire and install the equipment needed for them to engage in activities that would contribute to their success and community wellbeing. To be eligible for a technology microgrant, the museum would need to be a nonprofit organization or registered charity located in Saskatchewan that is open to the public that meets the definition of “museum” as laid out in Standards for Saskatchewan Museums.

Eligible Expenses

The microgrants will cover up to $1000 in expenses for:

Computer or other technical equipment that will enhance the museum’s capacity for outreach and/or core museum functions such as programming and exhibits, including virtual (online) exhibits, and collections management/care. 

 This would include equipment such as:

The installation/preparation of the equipment, where museum staff and volunteers do not have the necessary expertise to do so

 

Selection Criteria

Grants will be awarded to eligible museums on the following basis:

 

Funder Acknowledgement

Museums receiving the grants will acknowledge the support of the Government of Saskatchewan in accordance with its guidelines and policies.
