Curatorial Assistant – Summer Student – WDM Corporate Office

The WDM Corporate Office in Saskatoon is looking for a Curatorial Assistant (Summer Student) to assist the WDM in achieving its public trust responsibilities through the care and stewardship of the WDM artifact collections. The summer student will assist in a project to move a collection of artifacts and upgrade their storage conditions.

Key Responsibilities: • Assist in carrying out the temporary movement of a collection of approximately 3600 artifacts. • Assist in maintaining artifact inventories and location records. • Assist with reorganization, modification and updates to artifact storage pallet racks. This is a term position that starts May 12, 2025 and ends August 22, 2025. The work schedule is 72 hours per 2 week pay period. This position is partly funded through the Canadian Heritage Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations program (YCWHO). To be considered for this position, you must meet all YCWHO eligibility requirements and have a current YCW account.

The candidate must be: • A Canadian citizen or a permanent resident or have refugee status in Canada (non-Canadians holding temporary work visas or awaiting permanent resident status are not eligible). • Legally entitled to work in Canada (have a valid social insurance number). • Between 16 and 30 years of age inclusively at the start of employment. • A college or university student.
