“Helping Preserve the Rich History of Briercrest”
Located in the former Briercrest School, the museum is divided into different theme rooms including a General Store, Miltitary room, school house, doctor’s office and ice cream parlour.
The museum also includes a 100-year time wall, featuring an event that occured in the town each year from 1905-2005.
Added to the Museum, and now on site, is the Brier Rose Cultural Centre. This is a small house containing a collection of artifacts to honour the achievements of Edna Jaques, a famous poet who lived in the Briercrest area.
The museum hosts a variety of events each year, including a Heritage Day in June, and potluck lunches which are held every Saturday during the summer months.
Collection Highlights: Â Anderson’s Ice Cream Parlour / The Brier Rose Cultural Centre / A complete military display / Farmyard room / A Time Wall.
And, we now have an Artisan Shop at the Museum. It is called The Country Creator Artisan Shop and has home decor, music, and gifts for all.
