Institution/Organization: Sturgis Station House Museum: The Sturgis Station House Museum provides its visiting public an enjoyable and educational experience through displays of artifacts and archival materials that reflect the physical and cultural environment of Sturgis and its surrounding community from early pioneer settlement to the mid-20th century. Location: Sturgis, Saskatchewan Salary: $15.85 per hour The period of employment will commence on May 19th, 2026 and run until Sept. 4th 2026 .The successful applicant will be expected to work 5 days per week, consisting of 6 hours per day for a maximum of 30 hours per week, with Monday and Tuesday off. Job Description: Key Areas of Responsibility • Assist in creating displays, organize and promote collections to expand community interest. • To assist with museum tours and events. • General Cleaning of museum and museum buildings • Winter storage of Museum textiles, photos, negatives and artifacts • Data entry of digitized museum records • Assist in preservation of artifacts • Willing to take direction from the Curator/Manager Skills and Requirements: • Working knowledge of Museum Policies and Procedures • Positive attitude and must be self-motivated • Be familiar with “Standard of Saskatchewan Museums” • Good communication skills and writing ability • Experience or interest in creating interesting exhibits an asset. • Interest in history an asset.
