Finders Keepers

The Museums Association of Saskatchewan (MAS) is pleased to present “Finders Keepers: The Spirit of Repatriation and the Role of Saskatchewan Museums”.

A film by Sawyer Mayne Morris, “Finders Keepers” is a documentary film that features interviews and conversations with museum professionals and Indigenous Elders about the importance of repatriation and the changing necessity of museums to support it.

The documentary includes interviews with Dr. Elizabeth Scott: Chief Curator, Director of Collections and Research, Western Development Museum; Gabriel Essaunce Lamarche: Repatriation and Community Liaison, Museums Association of Saskatchewan; Jennifer Fitzpatrick: Director of Cultural Services, City of Humboldt; Karon Shmon: Director of GDI Culture and Heritage, Gabriel Dumont Institute; Marina Gryde: Curator, Climax Community Museum; Pauline Poundmaker: Brown Bear Woman; Stephanie Danyluk: Senior Manager – Community Engagement, Canadian Museums Association; and Indigenous Elders: Cy Standing, Sid Fiddler, and Dr.Linda Young.
