MAS is pleased to provide advisory services to all its members at no additional cost. Offering on-site, telephone, and email consultations, the Museums Advisor is here to help with any questions or concerns relating to your museum.
What to Expect
Available during MAS office hours, the Museums Advisor will respond to your requests for assistance via phone or email. Detailed information, including photos, will help the Museums Advisor to gain a better sense of the issue and provide a more detailed response. The Advisor may refer you to a specialist if the problem is outside of their scope. All consultations are confidential and will be responded to in a timely manner.
On-Site visits are requested by contacting the Advisor by phone or email. On-site visits are free of charge and visits may range from a half-day to a full day in length. The Advisor may suggest resources available to you through MAS, or may refer you to a specialist or other organization.
The Museums Advisor is also available at museum Network meetings in the fall and spring. MAS members can check with their Networker to see when the next meeting is. If you are a MAS member and are not part of a network, please contact Community Engagement Coordinator, to join one.
