The Diefenbaker Canada Centre is recruiting a full-time Community Engagement Specialist for a 26 week internship beginning September, 2025 through March 2026. Candidates must be a recent graduate of a college or university program, ideally in museology, education or fine arts. Throughout the internship, the Community Engagement Specialist (CES) will gain professional experiential learning associated with all aspects of museum operations related to visitor engagement, including exhibit, programming and event promotion, website design and community outreach. The CES will learn about the development, delivery and promotion of heritage-related programming, including curriculum-based education programs, exhibit-related tours, special events, and community outreach. These practical, transferrable skills will allow the intern to discover career options in the heritage sector, increase their competencies, and prepare them for a career related to museology. For the full internship description, including how to apply, please visit the Employment Opportunities page on the Diefenbaker Canada Centre website. Applications will be reviewed beginning August 11.
