Nestled on the lower floor of the Nutana Legion, the Saskatoon Museum of Military Artifacts is a little-known gem, that tells the stories of local veterans and pays tribute to their service.
Packed full of military memorabilia the museum features a WW1 German trench mortar, WW1 medical instruments, indigenous snipers display, uniforms, WW2 aircraft and naval models, and much more. Children can also get involved in military history by trying on helmets and webbing and experiencing what it’s like to look through a trench periscope.
This museum is a registered charity that provides an opportunity for the safe and secure storage and display of military artifacts and memorabilia. Items have been donated by veterans, family members of veterans, others who are interested collectors, and many Legion members.
In addition, the museum helps educate all generations of the community; with particular emphasis on youth. School and community groups are welcome to tour the museum, by appointment, to learn about their local history and connecting it to the wider world.
We look forward to welcoming you.
