The Spiritwood Museum features exhibits that depict early lifestyles of the area in regards to pioneers, the diversification of nationalities and cultures, with a strong emphasis on agriculture.
The permanent exhibits are displayed in a realistic settings showcasing tools, vintage clothing, pioneer farm machinery, a pioneer kitchen, country general school, country one room school and a showcase of First Nations artifacts.
The museum is also working on developing an old country street with the prospect off moving in old buildings.
The Spiritwood Museum also has a Trinity Bissel United church originally built in 1936 in Mildred, SK.
Collections Highlights: Â Extensive Agricultural Canada display / Fuel tank off a russian satellite / Wedding dress display / Oral Histories DVD of pioneering in Spiritwood.
Location Notes
In Town of Spiritwood turn north on Highway 24. The museum is just a bit north on the west side of highway. Look for signs.
