The S.W. Sask. Oldtimers’ Museum was established in 1926 and commemorates the 1870 – 1918 period of the Cypress Hills area. What is believed to be the oldest purpose-built museum building in Saskatchewan was constructed in 1935 to house the museum’s growing collection. Â Today, the S.W. Sask. Oldtimers’ Museum serves as the steward of three Municipal Heritage Properties within the Maple Creek Heritage District:Â The W.R. Orr Building at 114 Jasper Street (1910 Union Bank of Canada Building now serving as Visitor Centre, heritage law office exhibit, & archive), the 1935 Log Museum at 218 Jasper Street (heritage exhibits & gift shop), and the C.M. Glascock Building at 222 Jasper Street (1909 – 2009 automobile dealership building now serving as a temporary exhibit hall & art gallery).
