The Mossbank Museum consists of five buildings which house a variety of artifacts describing the history of the area.
One of the buildings is the Ambroz Blacksmith Shop, the only blacksmith shop in the province that is still in its original building, on its original site and with the original blacksmithing equipment.
Other buildings include a house, rural school, and a building containing information about the area. Learn about the town’s role in World War II, including #2 Bombing and Gunnery site display and walking paths, and about the legend of nearby Old Wives Lake.
A bird walking tour of OId Wives Lake is also available – follow the signs or phone the museum to arrange a conducted tour.
The museum also has several annual activities each year, including a Canada Day celebration featuring a potluck lunch and blacksmithing demonstrations, the Old Wives Lake Festival in August, and an Apple Pie Day on the second last Wednesday in August.
