The Sukanen Ship Museum tells the story of Tom Sukanen, a Finnish immigrant and shipbuilder who decided to build a ship in the middle of the Saskatchewan prairie with the intent to sail it back to Europe.
Step inside the massive ship, the Dontiainen, and learn more about this fascinating story!
The museum also offers many more buildings and artifacts to explore, including a post office, general store, school house, and the Diefenbaker Homestead, first home of Prime Minister John Diefenbaker.
