The University of Regina President’s Art Collection has a remarkable visual arts legacy and a rich, diverse collection of artworks in a variety of media. Selected artworks are installed publicly on both campuses located in Regina (Treaty 4 territory). Saskatchewan’s rich history of artistic practice is represented, including the modernist abstractions of the Regina Five, Indigenous sculpture, textiles and painting, and ceramics from the Regina Clay movement. The Collection is further enriched by Inuit sculpture, prints and textiles. The main priority of the Collection is to ensure artworks are accessible for all, in keeping with the University’s mission of providing the most beautiful, thought-provoking and culturally-rich learning and work environment possible.
