In order to ensure that the funding for the Technology Microgrant program is spent in accordance with the program’s guidelines, and to assist us with evaluating the program’s success, recipients need to meet reporting requirements.
MAS Museums Advisor, Sarah Durham, will be joining us on Thursday August 23rd, at 1:00pm via Zoom, to respond to these questions and discuss the steps to be taken to assist in the repatriation process.
Dr. Tim Panas, the Learning Programs Lead for the Museums Association of Saskatchewan, will speak on how Saskatchewan museums can incorporate Indigenous place names into their exhibits and programs, and why the usage of traditional names is important to both preserving history and forwarding the goals of Truth and Reconciliation.

Elder Sid Fiddler of Waterhen Lake Cree First Nation will be joining us for a Webinar to discuss how museums in Saskatchewan can make their spaces more welcoming to Indigenous people. Elder Sid Fiddler has shared with MAS suggestions on how we can make our museum spaces more welcoming and inclusive.
